If you’ve been following our journey from Mexico, you know we touched down in Las Vegas first. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—I love Vegas! It’s the ultimate adult playground. Whether you’re here for the world-class shows, the massive casinos, or just the sheer madness of the Strip, Vegas never fails to deliver.

The Heart of the Strip

In Vegas, the hotels aren’t just places to sleep; they are destinations in themselves. We spent our days wandering through some of the most iconic spots on the planet:

The Bellagio: Seeing the fountains dance in person is something you never get tired of.

The Venetian: You genuinely feel like you’ve been transported to Italy—gondolas and all!

Caesars Palace: The scale of this place is just mind-blowing.

Absinthe is a Must!

I’ve seen a lot of shows in my time (including that brilliant one in King’s Cross recently), but Absinthe at Caesars Palace remains the best, funniest, and most outrageous show I’ve ever seen. It’s raunchy, it’s hilarious, and it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted! If you want a night out that’ll have you laughing until your stomach hurts, get your tickets booked.

The Grand Canyon

We decided to take a break from the slot machines and headed out to the Grand Canyon. Standing on the edge of one of the natural wonders of the world really puts things into perspective. It’s a bit of a trek from the Strip, but the views are absolutely worth the journey.

Casino Life and “Early Mornings”

You can’t come to Vegas and not have a flutter. We spent our fair share of time in the casinos, and in typical Vegas fashion, time just seems to disappear. You go in for a “quick drink” and the next thing you know, the sun is coming up over the desert!

Amy, as always, was the life of the party, though I think even she was ready for the “lazy mornings” by the time we were heading to Cancun.

Final Verdict

Las Vegas is hectic, loud, and brilliantly over-the-top. It’s the kind of place everyone should experience at least once. Just remember: what happens in Vegas… usually ends up in the cabin as a memorabilia pin!
