There’s no place quite like The Cabin to see in the New Year. We decided to keep things relatively intimate this year—just a few close mates, some festive decorations, and a lot of high-octane spirits. If you’ve followed the channel, you know that when the lights go down in the garden, the party really starts!
We spent the afternoon decking out The Cabin with New Year’s Eve signs and a bit of sparkle. It’s amazing how a few streamers and the right lighting can transform our DIY project into the ultimate private nightclub.
The highlight (or perhaps the downfall!) of the evening was the Flaming Lamborghini. If you haven’t seen this shot before, it involves fire, straws, and a lot of bravery. I’ll be the first to tell you, I’m not usually a fan of the taste of straight alcohol, but there’s something about a flaming drink that just sets the mood.
Watching everyone try to “suck the air out” before the flames got too close was pure comedy. Let’s just say, the “Yellow Dreamer” was in full effect!
As midnight approached, the big question wasn’t about New Year’s resolutions—it was about who was kissing who!
The Debate: I tried to pin down the lads on their countdown plans. Ricky seemed to think he was the prime candidate for a kiss, but I think the consensus was a firm “no” from everyone else!
The Survivors: We had some busy lips and a few people who didn’t quite make it to the end (a few “tactical” trips to the bathroom were involved), but those of us who survived had a brilliant time seeing in 2026.
Everyone has gone home now, a few people are definitely feeling the effects of those flaming shots, and The Cabin is looking a bit “well-used.” But that’s what it’s for—making memories with the best people.
