Hi everyone, I’m Carleboy17, a content creator on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. During my recent trip to El Nido, Philippines, I had the pleasure of meeting Joe, a humble and selfless local guide who went above and beyond to make our experience truly unforgettable. His kindness, dedication, and positivity stood out, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in our group. Unfortunately, just a short while after we left, a powerful typhoon struck the area. In the middle of the night, at around 4 AM, a massive mango tree was torn from the ground by strong winds and came crashing down onto Joe’s family home while they were asleep. Miraculously, everyone survived the terrifying incident, but Joe suffered a serious ankle injury and had to spend his remaining savings on surgery and medical bills.

As Joe now recovers from his injury, he’s unable to work, leaving his family with no source of income. Their home is still in ruins, the walls are shattered, the roof is gone, and they rely on umbrellas for shade and protection while they eat. The family is struggling to afford even basic necessities like food, water, and supplies, and rebuilding their home feels like an impossible dream right now. Joe has always been someone who helps others first, always smiling, always putting other people’s needs before his own. Now, it’s our turn to help him and his family rebuild their lives and bring back some hope after such a devastating loss.
